About Careyes, Mexico
Careyes is a community of artists, ceremonialists and all-around appreciators of beauty living on 35 miles of otherwise untouched land on the Western coast of Mexico in the Jalisco region.
The land is part of the P’urhépecha Kingdom, with a town founded in the 1950’s by an Italian who wanted to honor the sacredness of the land. The vision for the community was built upon a life that revolves around art. Vibrant villas line the rocky cliffs and brightly-colored casitas cascade across a hillside reminiscent of Cinque Terre, Italy.
It’s quiet in Careyes at the end of February and early March, as most of the community is based in Europe during the early Spring, but the locals who are around bring charisma and culture in their wide, welcoming smiles. It’s an easy walk down cobblestone streets or winding staircases to reach the cove-like beaches along an otherwise rocky coastline. Bougainvillea grows abundantly and birdsong drifts in on the early-morning breezes in this gated beachside paradise where you can sleep with windows and doors wide open.
There’s almost zero light pollution, so we’ll invest an evening together on the beach, receiving the mysterious whispers of the stars under a new moon…a truly magical experience. We’ll offer blessings to the waters of the Pacific and feel the echoes of Lemuria rolling in on each wave. We’ll experience an ancient healing mud ceremony, using the natural elements for our very own spa day.
INTENTIONS:
Our intention for the Retreat is to introduce you to the Priest/ess that lives within each of us, with specific practices and activations to expand your awareness as you:
Open the Channels of Perception and enhance your intuitive abilities. Through a combination of guided meditations, breathwork, and energy practices throughout our time together, you will learn to tune into the subtler frequencies of existence. These practices will help you access higher states of consciousness, improve your ability to receive intuitive insights, and foster a greater connection with the divine. By the end of the retreat, you will have a toolkit of techniques to continue expanding your perception and spiritual awareness in your daily life.
Activate “Vyana” within You: During an introductory session on the sacred art of Anointing with Holy Oils, you will activate your capacity for sensing, feeling and healing your own body. You will learn to harness your innate healing capabilities, often referred to as the "Hands of Light," to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Receive the Wisdom of the Stars: We chose the timing of this retreat to coincide with the New Moon in Aries, the very first new moon of the new astrological cycle. This will be a time of new beginnings, and by establishing your own connection to the cosmos both within and above you, you can discover your own inner compass, which we will explore in more detail throughout the weekend.

These ancient practices are each unique gifts held by ancient Mystery Schools. Whether you are brand new and intrigued, or deepening on your own path of study, you’ll have the opportunity to learn the nature of the stars within you as well as your own innate capacity for healing through touch. Paint Your Own StarChart
During your week in paradise, you’ll have the option to explore the expansive landscapes, rest on the beaches, and express your creativity in your own painting workshop.
Greyson will guide you through her process of creating handmade watercolor astrology charts-that you can paint your own version of and explore the basics of astrology as you create!
In this workshop, you’ll have a chance to map your own inner cosmos, ask any questions you might have about watercolor painting or astrology, and learn about your unique inner landscape with the others painting alongside you.
If you’d like to have your own personal deep-dive astrology reading with Greyson, that will also be available to you.

-Flights into either Manzanillo (ZLO) airport or Puerto Vallarta (PVR) are the easiest. We are covering airport transfer costs in your total retreat package, so you will have a private driver bringing you directly to the villa once you go through customs and collect your bags.
-Manzanillo (ZLO) is a smaller airport located about 45 minutes south of Careyes. You will most likely need to fly through Mexico City if you choose this option (which will also give you an opportunity to peruse some of the incredible locally-soured art should you desire to bring a souvenir home with you).
-Puerto Vallarta (PVR) is a larger airport located anywhere from 2-4 hours north of Careyes depending on traffic. If you choose to fly into PVR, you’ll need to note the time of your flight home, as it will be a longer route to get there.

-We will gather for our opening circle around 5pm on Wednesday, February 26th. Feel free to arrive anytime on Wednesday to begin to ground. There are many wonderful beach walks and places to rest beside the water even if you arrive before your room is ready to check into.
-Our final dinner and ceremony will be on Sunday evening, so that anyone who needs to depart early on Sunday can do so.
-We will offer yoga and breathwork on Monday morning around 8/9am, so we recommend if possible to book a departing flight after noon on March 3rd. We are purposely completing this retreat on a Sunday evening with Monday departure so that you can be fully present and relaxed on Sunday and not face into returning to a full week upon your arrival back home. I find this creates a different pattern and relationship with time, even if on a subconscious level, and helps support the integration process.

-We welcome you to arrive early or stay an extra day if you’d like to integrate! The El Careyes Beach Club will be open for you to book a room (around $400/night), but please note as facilitators, we will need this time for setup and integration ourselves, so this time will be all yours to share with yourself or other retreat participants.
-If you choose this option, please let us know so we can help you book and ensure that the airport transfer is set up prior to our gathering.

-We will be offering a range of healthy, organic meals prepared with fresh water for you during your stay. There will be a total of 13 meals served (Wednesday dinner through Sunday dinner, 3 meals per day) during your stay.
-We will only be offering wine as a sacrament to complete ceremony (if at all). We ask that you not bring any alcohol on this retreat and if you are desiring a cocktail, to limit yourself to one by the pool at the El Careyes club, so that you can be as present as possible to feel the activations and frequencies that are more available the less substances we have in our systems.
-We will share a survey document to make note of any allergies and dietary restrictions you might have prior to your arrival as we finalize the menu.
